Local-First Processing
~80% of tasks run entirely on your device. When cloud power is needed, your data is scrubbed first.
Most of your work — drafting, summarizing, research — runs entirely on your computer using local AI models. Your client files never leave your device for these tasks. For complex questions that benefit from larger cloud models (like Anthropic's Claude or Google's Gemini), Ferox strips all personal information through 6 layers of scrubbing before sending a sanitized query through a Canadian relay server. You stay in control of when this happens.
6-Layer PII Scrubbing
Names, dates, case numbers, and privileged information are stripped before any cloud request leaves your machine.
When a cloud model is used, your query passes through six scrubbing stages — regex pattern matching, named entity recognition, context-aware redaction, medical/legal identifier removal, date generalization, and final validation. The cloud provider (Anthropic, Mistral, or Google) only ever sees a sanitized, anonymized version. The original personal details never leave your computer.
Zero Telemetry
No analytics, no tracking, no phone-home. We literally cannot see what you do with the software.
There is no mechanism in Ferox Nodus to collect or transmit your usage data — not what you ask, what files you open, or when you use it. Ferox keeps zero logs of cloud queries on our end. Cloud providers process requests under their own terms, but they never receive your personal information thanks to PII scrubbing. This isn’t a policy — it’s architecture. There’s no telemetry code to turn on.
